Join us for an engaging, thought provoking and creative day-long PD workshop!

Suzanne Keeptwo (Métis) will draw upon her expertise as a Dramatic Arts & Native Studies teacher, and facilitator of Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Training, to conduct an experiential workshop for teachers of Drama, English, Native Studies, History, Art, etc. This learning workshop is intended to better enable teachers to implement the Ontario Ministry of Education’s First Nations, Metis & Inuit Educational Policy. It will also deepen their understanding of Aboriginal identity, history, culture, and worldview. NAC English Theatre Acting Company members are also invited to be guest speakers during the workshop.

Dance Workshop for Teachers Register

COST: FREE for all teachers

Junior, Intermediate and Secondary School teachers are invited to attend a workshop led by a National Ballet dance educator. This workshop will focus on incorporating dance into their classrooms using brain-compatible concepts and dynamic movement learning. Resources are available to teachers to continue exploring dance as an art form and the various ways it can be used to enhance learning in the classroom.

Theatre: Teachers’ Advisory Group

This is your chance to tell us how you feel about our programming and offer suggestions. The Teachers’ Advisory Group meets twice per school year to discuss what is happening in the classroom and our theatre. Tell us how we can complement your teaching. This advisory is for elementary, secondary and university teachers.
