The musicians – Miguel Bences (conga), Raul Cozo-Gonzalez, alias Montero (lead singer/sonero), David Flores and Raphael Rodriguez (percussion/vocal), Delfin Marsal (trumpet), Danilo Rondon Perez (pianist), Garcia Reyes (drum-timbales), Arturo Shaires (guitar-tre), Alejandro Vega (bass guitar) and Jose Wence (bongo) – are experienced and played for respected Cuban bands before they relocated to Ottawa. (Son 14 and Typica Urfe, to name a few.)
Their sound is amazing, a mix of Buena Vista Social club, Los Van Van, Oscar D’Leon and their own Canadian twist. L’Ottawencé Latin Band is a strong, well-structured group who are guaranteed to give you a great show. You will have a hard time staying in your seat!
