Turning the Page is one facet of an exciting new partnership between H’Art of Ottawa, the National Arts Centre 4th Stage, Gallery 101, and Jesse Stewart. H’Art of Ottawa (www.hartofottawa.ca) is an innovative art studio that provides opportunities for artists with developmental and intellectual disabilities to express themselves through the visual arts. Jesse Stewart (www.jessestewart.ca) is a Juno award-winning percussionist, composer, improviser, artist, instrument builder, and educator dedicated to reimagining the spaces between artistic disciplines and to building communities through inclusive art and music making. Turning the Page will combine stunning visual imagery and poetry by H’Art of Ottawa participants with music performed by the artists in collaboration with Jesse Stewart.
