Composed of some of the Jazz world’s brightest lights, this new quintet’s repertoire taps into the member’s songbooks, a treasure throve of exhilarating compositions guaranteed to excite and wow audiences everywhere. Led by Houle, the band walks the fine line between composition and improvisation, with a strong bend on the jazz vernacular. The new band got together in New York City in 2011 and again in March of 2012 to record their new CD called GENERA on Songlines Records.
