Alexandre Gazalé joined the National Arts Centre in 1989. He became the NAC`s Production Director in 1996.

In addition to his duties as Production Director for Theatre, he assumes the production management of all events at the NAC.

He was the Production Manager for the Canada Dance Festival (Ottawa) in June, 1998, and 2000.

In June, 1992 Mr. Gazalé was the Technical Director, Theatre. He has also been a consultant for the renovations of La nouvelle scène and the Arts Court Theatre.

Prior to working at the NAC, Mr. Gazalé worked from September, 1983 to November, 1989 at the Centaur Theatre Company in Montreal. Mr. Gazalé studied at the John Abbott College (Montreal) in Professional Theatre Program from 1975 to 1978.

He is member of the Associated Designers of Canada, and Member of the Ontario Region of the Canadian Institute of Theatre Technology.
