Maestro Kent Nagano also leads Mussorgsky’s epic orchestral showpiece, with its delightful “Ballet of the Chicks in their Shells,” the eerie Parisian “Catacombs”; and the tumultuous pealing of bells in the grand finale, “The Great Gate of Kiev.” Haydn’s “Fire” Symphony rounds out this engaging program.
