An arresting performer, the inimitable Akram Khan’s award-winning new solo, Gnosis, is a work of riveting eloquence drawing from sources both ancient and modern. The internationally acclaimed choreographer showcases his command of the Kathak form (classical Indian dance), taking inspiration from a character in the Hindu epic Mahabharata. Khan is accompanied on stage by an ensemble of exceptional musicians from around the world and acclaimed guest artist Fang-Yi Sheu from Taiwan. A transformative performance, this marathon of superbly synchronized sound and movement displays Khan as a master of his craft.
